1. Source contractors and suppliers who have a clear vision on how they can reduce the impact their primary business has on the environment and look for "greener" products and services in the local community.
2. Participate in Earth Hour initiatives and, where possible turn off computers, electronic equipment and devices at the wall.
3. Use energy efficient, low voltage fluorescent light bulbs in all rooms of our office.
4. Regularly have gutters cleared to ensure suitable drainage.
5. Water our gardens on a set timer using recycled water.
6. Produce double sided printed documents where possible.
7. Choose suppliers who take back packaging for reuse.
8. Utilise our local intranet, JGREnet to both read internal memos, finalise product ordering for marketing purposes, post scanned versions of Certificates of Title, SAA and other documentation pertaining to the listing of a property to eliminate additional hard copies and telephone/contact lists which can be accessed by all staff members.
We encourage our staff to:
9. 'Think before they print' any electronic material that can be successfully read and actioned on screen.
10. Print emails or unofficial correspondence, data or information on scrap paper.
11. Recycle paper, glass and foodstuffs at the office by utilising our paper, general rubbish and food stuffs recycle bins.
12. Catch the bus or walk to work.
13. Cook their own lunch in our kitchen to reduce wastage and additional food packaging.
We encourage our clients to:
14. Market their property using our Going Green package to eliminate the need for printed material of any kind and focus on an internet based marketing campaign with emails, SMS messages and eBrochures sent to potential buyers listed on our database.
15. Opt to receive correspondence from Jock Gilbert Real Estate via email.
16. Participate in our online Customer Service Review and Property Owner Surveys with responses sent to our office electronically.
17. Download electronic copies of Letters of Offer and other residential tenancy forms.
18. Apply for residential rental properties online through our virtual application system.
