How you can help to attract the best tenant and the most rent for your property...
Presenting your property to the highest possible standard will ensure that quality tenants are secured as quickly as possible.

Some handy hints to assist in achieving the best results for you are...

• Lawns should be neatly mown and healthy and garden beds weeded.
• Any large trees or shrubs should be pruned back from driveway/windows.
• Garage or shed cleaned out and free of rubbish.
• Windows cleaned (to let in more natural light).
• Swimming pool cleaned and all pool equipment to be in good working order.
• All rubbish and household items to be removed.
• Gutters should be cleaned.
• Any dripping taps repaired.
• Auto-watering system should be in good working order.


• All carpets should be professionally steam cleaned.
• Walls cleaned and any large chips/scuffs repaired.
• If repainting walls, a neutral colour should be used.
• Special attention should be paid to the kitchen and bathrooms - these areas often affect a tenant's decision to rent your property. Tiles and grout should be clean and sealed, surfaces free of mould and grime.
• Line the interior of kitchen cupboards if they are aged. Replace dated and damaged benchtops.
• High wattage light globes will brighten a room, also, ensure that light fittings are clean.
• Curtains and blinds should be clean and in good repair.

• Window locks and deadlocks (ensure these are in good working order).
• Air conditioning and heating.
• Smoke detectors (preferably hard-wired or 10 year sealed lithium).
• Secure parking.
• Telephone connection point.
• Television Aerial.
• Two sets of keys for ALL locks.
